Christopher Peter Meloni has been known as a well-known American actor for many years. Most famously, he is known for the roles he performed in "Law & Order Special Victims Unit". In college, he began to develop an interest in acting. At his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. He was also active in film and TV, his roles on the smaller screen are what brought him much recognition. He can play two characters, one from the perspective of the police and the different. This is what has made him so popular. His first television production, he played an infamous serial killer. Then, he played the role of an NYPD investigator. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he has received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The most striking of his facial traits is believed to be the sharp blue eyes that have allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
